SRD programme aim is promote sustainable nature resource use, management and development. The main contribution of Pasaules Dabas fonds to achieve the nature conservation goals is related with such land-use planning and good agriculture practices that are optimal for nature and development. The new rural development model is needed where equally important both –nature conservation and social economic interests.

The Lake Pape project aims to demonstrate how nature protection and economic development can go hand-in-hand. We are working to conserve and restore the Lake Pape natural diversity and value, as well as to promote sustainable development for the future of this rural area.
